Our father (László Béla Felföldi) sought a more democratic political system and freedom from Soviet oppression, fleeing his homeland at the age of 17 along with 200,000 Hungarians to neighboring Austria. He later joined 38,000 others in finding haven in the United States. From there, 3 generations sprung forth, raising their families to now include 4 sons, 6 grandkids, and 2 great-grandkids.
